R.J. Thauer joined GEM in 2025 and is an Associate on the investment team for GEM Realty Securities. In this role, R.J. focuses on the Lodging & Leisure sectors.
Prior to joining GEM, R.J. was a Research Analyst at Millennium Management, focusing on the REIT sector. Prior to that, he worked in investment banking at Deutsche Bank and Mizuho.
R.J. received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and History from Northwestern University.
