Mr. Franklin joined GEM in 2004 and is a Managing Director. As Director of Research for GEM Realty Securities and GEM Realty Properties, he focuses on a broad spectrum of research initiatives to catalyze new investment ideas and support investment due diligence. Mr. Franklin is also a member of GEM’s Risk Management Board.

Prior to joining GEM, Mr. Franklin served as an associate director at Bank One, providing structured products to the hedge fund industry. From 2000 through 2001, Mr. Franklin worked for Bain & Company, where he analyzed strategic issues facing client organizations. Mr. Franklin received a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Wharton School and a Bachelor of Applied Science from the School of Engineering and Applied Science at the University of Pennsylvania in 2000. Mr. Franklin holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
